Specific Concentrations within Electronic Media

The electronic media major prepares students for careers in a wide range of media radio, television, non-broadcast audio/video production, and online and computer-based media. Because of the paraprofessional nature of this program and the balance of practical and theoretical aspects of media work, Cedarville graduates have excelled in careers across all of these media.

Audio Concentration

The Audio Concentration prepares students for a variety of positions in radio, television, film, and other media environments. Students graduate with a set of skills that qualify them for jobs as audio editors, engineers, producers, and media talent.

Video Concentration

The Video concentration prepares students for careers in all sectors of the the television and film industries. Students graduate with an understanding of everything from lighting to camerawork to directing, qualifying them for a wide variety of video related careers.

Management/Sales Concentration

The Management/Sales concentration prepares students for positions in radio, television, cable, internet, and advertising agencies. Students graduate with skills that qualify them for jobs as account executives, sales managers, media buyers, program directors and station managers.

Interactive Concentration

The Interactive concentration prepares students for exciting careers in the growing fields of website design and other computer-based media. Students will gain a knowledge of designing and coding web pages as well as learning a wide variety of industry standard software tools for the creation of interactive content and graphics.
