The Center for Teaching & Learning is actively engaged in a variety of projects across all academic areas at Cedarville. To see how your colleagues have been partnering with the Center, click on the following links:
Chemistry & Equilibrium - The complex world of chemical reactions and equations can sometimes seem like a daunting maze to students, including the students in Dr. Mark McClain’s General Chemistry II class. Helping students navigate that maze is a challenge that Dr. McClain recently met with the help of Cedarville’s Center for Teaching & Learning (CT&L).
SIGI Course Transformation - Dr. Joy Fagan approached the Center for Teaching & Learning in the summer of 2006. Dr. Fagan for help with her Scriptural Interpretations of Gender Issues (SIGI) course. She hoped to find a more effective way to help her students think through the issues on their own and engage with them on a deeper level. This launched a proccess of transforming the course through a hybrid format to fully online in less than a year.
US History II Redesign Online - Dr. Tom Mach has been teaching US History at Cedarville University since 2000, and has taught it online for several years. He approached the Center for Teaching & Learning to help him make some changes to freshen and improve the course. The end result was a completely revamped course with new learning opportunities for students.
