Information Technology for Business

MIS-1500

This course will focus on understanding the broad nature of information technology and how it fits in today's business world. Students will learn the nature of information technology, its application, and unique business models. An emphasis is placed on fostering the students understanding of how to manage technology from a business value perspective. Fundamentals of the industry, technologies, and application of that technology are developed. Students will experience the IT industry through practical exploration of its breadth and depth.

Information Management in a Dynamic World

MIS-1500

An overview of computer information systems. The integration and application of computer hardware, software, procedures, systems and human resources are explored. Personal, ethical, and biblical implications of the use of computers are considered. Students will also be introduced to a variety of PC-based software. Corequisite: MIS-1510 Information Management Software Tools Lab.
