Taoism:

behind life.
¥ It is felt through intuition.
¥ Emphasizes
harmony with nature and stresses the important of good health.
Confucianism:
¥Derived its name from Kongzi
¥ known as Confucius.
¥ This philosophy eventually became a state
religion.
¥ Basis is selflessness and the only way to prevent
strife was to instill the idea of caring for others.
¥ Family is very important to Confucianism where
everyone is compassionate toward each other.
RELIGION

¥ Basis is freedom of the soul to obtain enlightenment ¥Goal is to defeat passion and reach nirvana, a condition of total liberation.
¥Buddha taught that life is painful because people are infatuated with desire.
