Mission
The School of Humanities examines within a biblical framework what makes us human by addressing the fundamental questions of life, shaping character and values, improving communication, enhancing critical thinking, considering historical context, developing cultural competency, and fostering creativity and aesthetic appreciation. To that end, the school offers programs in the Departments of Communication Arts, History and Government, Language and Literature, and Music, Art, and Worship that enable students to pursue professional careers or further education. The dedicated faculty of scholar-teachers is engaged in research and creative activity and is deeply committed to teaching holistically, searching for truth and beauty, and helping students cultivate an informed Christian faith.
