
Applying for a Social Security Card
The student must have an Employment Verification Letter from the employer and Employment Authorization Letter from the Cedarville Office of International Programs.
- Student requests a Social Security Letter at the Office of International Programs or by emailing any of the contacts listed below.
- Student brings in the Employment Verification Letter from employer or sends it through Campus Mail to the Office of International Programs. If employed on campus, the department for which the student works should fill out the information on the Cedarville University Employment Verification Form and send it to the Office of International Programs through Campus Mail or by e-mail.
- Student's local address must be current.
- The Office of International Programs will process the request and notify student when everything is ready to be picked up.
- Student will use the Employment Verification Letter, the Employment Authorization Letter, a copy of his/her class registration (from CedarInfo), passport, I-20, I-94, etc. to prove eligibility for SSN to Social Security Administration.
