
Carl Brandon
Assistant Library Director for Media Services
Biography - As Assistant Director for Media Services, Carl provides supervision of AV Services (classroom media technology and maintenance support) and MediaPLEX (an academic student media production service of Centennial Library). Carl began working at the library in 1992, when the computer backbone and network was installed. He has helped develop the University's media classroom technology, moving from traditional formats to computerized audio/visual projection systems. Through his interest in photography, videography, and speaker support presentations he provides media production support for the library, the University's Chancellor and the President's office. Carl taught Media for Education and Computers in Education for the Education Department from 1992 through 1999. In 2006, through a six week MIS opportunity, he taught Media Production Tools for Education at the China Teachers Training Center in Beijing, China. He is the Greene County Children's Services Program/Personnel Committee Chair, and he and his wife Karyl are advocates for foster children and foster care.
