Seminars

Students learn research skills more readily when they have a specific information need. We have designed the Library Resource Seminars with this in mind. Based on the research need(s) of your students, we will design a classroom experience to address that need; providing both the tools and the instruction to properly use, locate, and evaluate information necessary to complete their assignment(s). To keep this learning experience profitable, we ask that the students involved complete a brief evaluation sheet after finishing their assignment.

Classrooms

The Library Computer Classroom, located in room 032 on the lower level of the Centennial Library, is a computer facility for classes which need occasional access to computer software on the network for special demonstrations. It seats 32 with 16 student computers and an interactive instructor's computer station which allows students to view on their monitor the steps being taken at the instructor's computer. This feature can be disabled (turned off) to allow the students to practice these new skills on their own.
