Américas Award for Children's and Young Adult Literature
This award has been presented annually since 1993 by the Consortium of Latin American Studies Programs to encourage and commend authors, illustrators, and publishers who produce quality children’s and young adult books that portray Latin America, the Caribbean, or Latinos in the United States.  Beginning with 2009, the award year shown in this list refers to the year the award was given, rather than the year of publication.  Prior to 2009, the award committee used the publication date as the award year.  Thus, even though it appears that no award was given in 2008, the 2009 award is for 2008 publications.

E. B. White Read Aloud Award for Picture Books
The E. B. White Read Aloud Award, established by the Association of Booksellers for Children in 2004, honors a book that reflects the universal read aloud standards that were created by the work of the author E. B. White in his classic books for children: Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little, and The Trumpet of the Swan.  In 2006, in recognition of the fact that reading aloud is a pleasure at any age, the award was expanded into two categories: The E. B. White Read Aloud Award for Picture Books and The E. B. White Read Aloud Award for Older Readers.  Titles are nominated for the award by ABC members, and the final award is made by committee.  ABC members choose books for distinction based on their universal appeal as a "terrific" book to read aloud.
