
Sandi Harner, Professor of English
Biography
Professor Harner serves as Professor of English and teaches Technical
and Professional Communication, a program which she developed at
Cedarville in 1984. She has successfully brought the program to a full
major. Along with her teaching responsibilities, she is an independent
consultant and contract writer and serves on the Society for Technical
Communication's (STC) Board of Directors. Professor Harner was named a
Fellow of STC in 2001, received the STC Jay R. Gould Award for
Excellence in Teaching in 1997, and also received the first STC Faculty
Internship Grant in 1997. Professor Harner has also helped to create
and sustain one of the most successful student chapters of STC. She has been at Cedarville since 1981.
