
Julie Moore, Associate Professor of English
Biography
Julie Moore began teaching at Cedarville University in 1999 after teaching for ten years at nearby Wilberforce University. Professor Moore directs the University's Writing Center, and she teaches dramatic literature and composition. She is a founding member of and active participant in the Ohio Writing Center Consortium. In addition, her poetry chapbook, Election Day, was published by Finishing Line Press in 2006. Her poetry has appeared in over two dozen publications, including The MacGuffin, Sou'Wester, River Oak Review, The Sow's Ear Poetry Review, Flint Hills Review, The Chaffin Journal, Blueline, Christianity and Literature, The Christian Century, Mars Hill Review, The Cresset, Relief: A Quarterly Christian Expression, Ruminate: Faith in Literature and Art, and The Christian Science Monitor. Moreover, her poetry was awarded Second Honorable Mention in the 2006 National Poet Hunt Contest sponsored by The MacGuffin and selected as "Editor's Choice" by The Fairfield Review.
