Baraminology - Discontinuity Systematics -- BIO 3520 Plant Taxonomy

Baraminology Resource Page

"The creationist biosystematic method of baraminology has grown significantly in the past decade. Its conceptual foundations were discussed in the evolution/creation debates of the nineteenth century, long before Frank Lewis Marsh coined the term baramin in 1941. Currently, baraminology has been applied to dozens of groups (Wood, 2006)."

This page is intended to introduce visitors to a few selected articles and websites related to research in baraminology. Many of the sites (left sidebar) are from the BSG, a Creation Biology Study Group (see link on left to "Biology Study Group Home"). For an introduction to the concepts and methods of baraminology, the "Concepts and Methods" link provides background that complements the "Baraminology" article by Wayne Frair, originally published as Frair W. 2000. Baraminology - Classification of created organisms. Creation Research Society Quarterly 37:82-91. The article linked (see left) as "Analysis of Flaveriinae" was authored by Todd Wood and David Cavanaugh in 2001." A baraminological analysis of subtribe Flaveriinae (Asteraceae: Helenieae) and the origin of biological complexity." Origins 52:7-27
