Summer Session IV
Independent Studies and Out of Class Courses
Summer Session IV is composed entirely of internships, independent studies, travel studies, and out-of-class courses to allow students to complete graduation requirement on schedule. To register for Summer Session IV, a student must complete an "Out-of-class Approval Form," available in the Registrar's office. Students must obtain approval from the Department Chair, the faculty member teaching the course, and the academic advisor.
No lists of courses for Summer Session IV 2008 are available because of the variance from year to year; however, a list of typical courses completed during Summer IV has been compiled. Check with the Chair of a department to find out if a given course is available.
Students interested in completing a Session IV class must receive departmental approval and complete the registration form available in the Office of the Registrar. Before leaving campus for the summer, students need to obtain their coursework from the professor. The students are responsible to contact the professor.
Students who need to drop or change the number of credit hours for a Summer IV class must contact the Office of the Registrar by July 8 in order to receive a full refund. Only courses that are within the parameters of the drop/add schedule will be considered. Questions about Summer IV may be directed to the Office of the Registrar or the Summer School Office.
