Financial Requirements
Information concerning student costs may be obtained from the Financial Aid department.
A form I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant F-1 Student Status, is issued by the International Student Officer upon receipt of full payment of tuition, room, board, and fees for the student's initial academic year of enrollment. Please direct any questions concerning your immigration documentation by sending an e-mail to the international student advisor.
For international students to maintain the F-1 student visa status with the United States government, they must enroll in and complete at least 12 hours of classes per semester. A student must maintain a 2.0 grade point average to be considered academically qualified to continue studies.
Financial Aid
Financial assistance for Cedarville University is very limited for international students. International students may qualify for Cedarville University institutional scholarships if they meet the stated academic qualifications. However, none of these awards will cover all educational expenses. Cedarville's International Student Income Form is used to determine ability to pay as well as eligibility for need-based institutional scholarships. Some private organizations and foundations within the U.S. also provide financial assistance to International Students, but these grants and scholarships are also very limited. In most cases, international students must seek out financial sponsors within their country or rely on the financial support of their families.
