Mission Statement

The mission of the Cedarville University Self Study Steering Committee is to conduct a self study that analyzes, evaluates, documents, and assesses the future impact of the University mission, operations, and effectiveness on student success.

Objectives

• The Steering Committee will evaluate the University’s mission-driven strategic planning, which is designed to address the changing environment and meet anticipated constituent needs.
  
  
• The Steering Committee will evaluate the University’s assessment of student outcomes, demonstrating a link between teaching effectiveness and learning.
  
  
• The Steering Committee will evaluate the University’s commitment to promoting scholarship and life-long learning among its constituents.
  
  
• The Steering Committee will evaluate the University’s service to its constituents, evidencing effective communication with them, connectedness among them, and commitment to a life-long culture of service within them.
  
  
• The Steering Committee will articulate the University’s distinctiveness, showing links between a clear mission, a commitment to diversity, and a support for continuous improvement.
  
  
• The Steering Committee will demonstrate the University’s continuing fulfillment of accreditation requirements in the Self-Study Report.
