Application Timeline

August-February of junior year: Gather information.

  • Determine what you want in a college or university.
  • Write for information from the schools that have your desired features.
  • Review the information you receive.

March-September of junior and senior years: Register to take the ACT or the SAT.

  • Scholarships are available based on test scores!
  • Use our ACT code (3245) or SAT code (1151) to have your test scores sent directly to Cedarville. (The optional ACT writing section is recommended but not required for admission to Cedarville University.)
  • Having a problem taking the ACT? Take it when you visit Cedarville. Call 1-800-CEDARVILLE for more information or to schedule a time to take the ACT.

July-December of senior year: Apply for admission.

December-February of senior year: Apply for financial aid.

  • Send the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to the Federal Student Aid Programs.
  • Apply for Cedarville's Leadership Scholarship (deadline involved)
  • For best results, submit all financial aid forms as soon as possible after January 1 and before March 1.

March-April of senior year: Make your final decision.

  • Talk to graduates of the schools you're considering.
  • Visit the school(s) again.
  • Contact the Financial Aid Office if you have any questions about your financial aid.

May 1: Send in your reservation deposit.

August: Experience your first days as a Cedarville University student!
