1. Please be in prayer for Micah Sergey's mother as she had a minor stroke during a brain surgery last Wednesday for her epilepsy. She is expected to recover and will stay in the hospital a couple weeks before starting physical therapy. Micah is a junior here at Cedarville.

Please pray for Nicholas, a fourth grader who lives in Xenia. He has had numerous serious health problems throughout his life and recently was diagnosed with cancer again. So far, he's doing well with chemo treatments, but he still needs a lot of grace. He has three wonderful older brothers, two of which have developmental disabilities, and an amazing mom who is struggling with the tremendous financially strain that this situation puts on her family.

The Melson's are family friends who have been missionaries to Papua New Guinea and are currently back in the states.
Their youngest, Abby (she is 13), has some sort of flesh-eating bacteria on her face; this has forced the doctors to remove her lower lip, and it isn't over.

Please pray for my nephew, James Thompson who returned from his third tour in Iraq and then realized he had been bitten by an unusual insect which is now causing severe swelling on one side of his face. He may need to go to Walter Reed in D.C. for specialized treatment.

Last week my friend, Warren, was hospitalized because a virus is attacking his heart. He is now in a coma with his liver and kidneys shutting down. Doctors say it is crucial that he wake up in two days. Please pray for his recovery! (He has a wife and two kids).

Hi everyone,
A four year old boy I know has been battling cancer for awhile now. I don't know many details, but I do know that while they removed the tumors, many complications have arisen from the numerous surgeries he has had to go through. He and his family are such amazing people who have been through a lot of pain from this, and I just ask that you keep them in your prayers. My mom, Mahin, was hit by a motorcycle 29 days ago and suffered a severe head injury. Doctors removed 1/3 of her skull for the operation. Now she is doing much better; she is talking, walking, and remembering things. She will have another surgery in few months to cover the opening in her head. Please pray for complete healing without complications.

My son-in-law, Stef Tarapchak, for whom many have been praying has just been told by his cancer surgeon that he has a very large malignant mass in his abdomen. The surgeon said the only thing that possibly can help Stef is surgery, but the surgeon cannot operate because the mass is too large and needs to shrink first. This is a very critical matter and we would ask you to pray that the mass would shrink so that surgery could take place.

2. We received word yesterday that two of our 2008 graduates were in a serious car accident. Janet Bauernschmitt was killed instantly and her passenger, Julie McQueen, was in critical condition but expected to make a full recovery (according to the news release). Since they are recent grads, several here at Cedarville know these ladies as well. Let's be in prayer for the Bauernschmitt family, Julie, and there Cedarville friends.

My dad is having a hard time at his job. He has a 40-minute commute each way; a very negative, controlling boss; and virtually no Christian co-workers. On top of that, we are adopting a boy from Haiti, and our paperwork is stuck in a Haitian office with no one in that office. It is all very discouraging and difficult for my parents. Please pray that Dad would find a job near our home so he could get home earlier and save several hundred dollars on gas, and that God would bring someone into the IBESR (Haitian office) who sees the importance of getting orphans into families.
