Students display original artwork in various artistic media which must be prepared according to established guidelines. Students? artwork is adjudicated on the day of the Art Festival by at least three qualified judges. The students will have the opportunity to view the artwork of other students and to meet fellow artists. A guest artist is often invited to share with the students. Every entry at the district level receives a rosette ribbon based on their judging scores. The ACSI Art Festival is not a contest, but students? artwork is adjudicated according to a rubric provided by ACSI. Rosettes are awarded as Superior, Excellent, Good and Honorable Mention. Judges also select the three Best of Show pieces from each grade level (3-5, 6-8 and 9-12).
