The Lifeline Players - Current Programs

The Lifeline Players

The Lifeline Players weave together Scripture with dramatic sketches to communicate how God's deepest desire meets our greatest need.

Drama can help us see ourselves, describing our condition by compressing human experience into a story we can view on a stage. It exposes our perceptions on life and the times when something in this life becomes more important than the One who created it.

In the living and written Word all illusory images of our universe are stripped away, and we are given a perspective on life and reality that is available nowhere else. Only in the Bible and through His son has God revealed Himself and His desire to have us share in His story, and be radically changed by it.

The ministry of the Lifeline Players is about telling the story of God and people. It is about exploring the relationships that really matter in life and for life. By using drama as "living illustrations" to all ages, we desire to communicate the unmatched value of Jesus as the "word" is made "flesh."

Building on Max Lucado's book, Traveling Light, the Lifeline Players examine how an understanding of the promises of Psalm 23 can help us release the burdens that we were never meant to bear.

 The Teen Program

Teens today receive a steady stream of messages from our culture about how to live, what to believe, and even who God is. This program is designed to challenge teens to evaluate these messages through the lens of God's Word so that they see Him as He sees Himself, others as He sees others, and themselves as He sees them.

The sketches used in the Teen program include:

"Love Thy Neighbor" by Steven James, Drama for Real Life, InterVarsity Press, 2006.

"The Date" by Dave McClellan, Crosspoint Scripts, 1997.

"The Weakest Link" by Dave McClellan, Crosspoint Scripts, 1998.

"Len's Birthday" by Paul McCusker, Vantage Points, Lillenas, 1986.

"Be Real" by Stephen Hicks and Jerry Cohagan, Bases Loaded . . . Nobody's Home, Lillenas, 1991.

"A Nice Guy" by Donna Lagerquist, edited by Steve Pederson, Sunday Morning Live, Vol. 2, Zondervan Publishing House, 1992.
