About KMA
Mission Statement
Kappa Mu Alpha assists first year students in becoming effective and active participants in the Cedarville University learning community.
KMA stands for Kappa Mu Alpha and is the Cedarville University name for our first year program. Kappa Mu Alpha includes three phases of Freshman involvement - from a small Living and Learning Community of 28 students to the entire Freshman student body.
KMA's Purpose
KMA has been specifically designed with you in mind! This program encourages freshmen to become active and effective CU students — not only academically, but also spiritually and socially.
Faculty and staff desire for you to smoothly adjust to higher education. Consequently, they came together from all across campus to create KMA. Participating in this program is voluntary, but KMA can provide you many benefits during your first year here at CU.
KMA's Three Levels
- Living and Learning Community
This year, 30 freshmen will test the success of the pilot version of this new CU program. - Support for Bible Courses
Certain courses in CU's Bible minor have been assigned academic peer coaches. These upperclassmen will provide assistance to freshmen students. - Events and Experiences
Programs and activities will be offered to the entire freshman class throughout the year.
