Wireless Network Access: Guest Wireless

While you visit our University, please enjoy our complementary guest wireless network called "cedarwireless-guest". This network is designed specifically for campus visitors, so it does not require a CedarNet guest account and it does not provide access to some of the on-campus resources used by University students, faculty, and staff.

How to Get Connected

Just follow the steps below to connect to the "cedarwireless-guest" network.

  1. Go to an area with wireless access. (See How much of campus is covered? below.)
  2. After a few seconds, a bubble should appear in the system tray (by the clock) indicating a wireless network is available. Click the bubble. If the bubble does not appear, you are either not in an area covered by wireless or your wireless card has not been properly configured.
  3. Select the "cedarwireless-guest" network and check-mark "Allow me to connect."
  4. Click "Connect." The bubble should appear again, indicating your connection and signal strength.
