Directions for Wedding Templates
Note: If you are getting your wedding invitations printed through Print Services, you MUST attend the initial consultation meeting. Files sent through e-mail will not be printed until this meeting occurs. To make an appointment, call Print Services at 937-766-7988.
The templates are downloadable Microsoft Publisher files. You must have Microsoft Publisher on your computer to be able to use these templates. Any university computer will have access to Microsoft Publisher.
After you download your template, rename the file by replacing the word "template" with your first and last name, i.e. "GointotheChapel_A7_Template.pub" would be renamed as "GointotheChapel_A7_YourfirstnameYourlastname.pub" The file name must be renamed properly for Print Services to print it.
After renaming your template, when you open it up, you will find a multi-page document. Guides are already set up properly and may not be moved. The guides (the lines in green) are our cutting lines, therefore any text you put outside of these green lines will be cut off. If you have an image or graphic that is to be full bleed, you may arrange it so that it exceeds the green guides.
Text boxes are already in place and should not be moved. Feel free, however, to change font, font size, color, etc. If you use a font that was not originally on your system, i.e. something you downloaded and we may not have, please include it in your email as an attachment along with your renamed template file. See , here for directions on attaching a font to an email.
The email you send to Print Services should have your template attached as well as your paper choices.
Directions in short:
- Download your template
- Rename it with your name in place of the word "Template"
- Fill in the text boxes with your information and images (if any)
- Email the file to Print Services along with you paper choices. Be sure to attach any fonts which Print Services may not have.
