Basic Course Objectives
- History and Philosophy of Faith Community Nursing
- Biblical aspects of health, healing, wholeness, and health promotion.
- How to start a Faith Community practice.
- Health ministry roles and models used in Faith Community Nursing practices.
- Legal and ethical aspects of Faith Community Nursing practices.
- Seven essential functions of nurses in Faith Community Nursing practices.
- Nursing process within a Faith Community health ministry practice.
- Working with pastors as partners in health ministry.
- Prayer and worship leader.
- Self care for Faith Community Nurses.
- Family violence.
- Grief and loss.

Contact Hours
The number of contact hours will be approximately 40.75 for full participation after the completion of the course. Some participants may take this course to satisfy Continuing Education requirements.
Application
Those interested in attending need to apply after January 1. Once the applicant has been accepted into the program, a registration link will be sent. Application deadline is June 1, 2010.
Registration
Registration fee is $600 for non-academic credit, which includes all materials, breakfast and lunch.
Commuter Registration fee: $550 – includes Sunday dinner and lunch, Monday through Friday.
Registration fees are non-refundable after the registration deadline, June 7, 2010.
Lodging
Housing will be in our Residence Hall, 2 people per room. Cost: $21 per person/night; $42 double occupancy. If you wish to room by yourself the cost will be $42. Linens will not be provided. You will need to bring your own sheets, blankets (for a twin bed), pillows and towels. Most of our rooms are handicap accessible.
