Cedarville, OhioDr. Norman Geisler, president of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, N.C., will speak at Cedarville University chapel on Monday, Apr. 5. Chapel begins at 10 a.m. in the Jeremiah Chapel of Cedarville University`s Dixon Ministry Center.
Geisler has taught at institutions of higher education for 45 years, including Dallas Theological Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. A prolific author, he has written or co-authored more than 60 books and hundreds of articles, many of which deal with the defense of the Christian faith. Of his books, "Legislating Morality" won a Gold Medallion Award, "Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics" was a finalist for a Gold Medallion Award, and "When Skeptics Ask" was nominated for a Medallion Award of the Year in the missions/evangelism category.
Geisler is an experienced debater and speaker, having spoken or debated on the existence of God (and other topics) in 25 countries and throughout the U.S. He holds a B.A. from Wheaton College, an M.A. from Wheaton Graduate School, a Th.B. from William Tyndale College, and a Ph.D. from Loyola University.
