Custodial Services

The custodial services department cleans approximately one million square feet of building space five times a week. This includes over 800,000 square feet in the administrative buildings and 200,000 square feet in the hallways and bathrooms of the residential halls. Each summer the custodians thoroughly clean every classroom, room, auditorium, hallway, bathroom, office, and staircase on campus two separate times.

Kathy Edlund, Manager

Kathy has served at Cedarville since the summer of 1992. She supervises the cleaning of all of our residence halls, as well as the president's home and Cedar Park married student apartments. Growing up, Kathy cleaned restrooms for her father's cleaning business and also cleaned her neighbors' homes.

Kathy is a certified member of the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA), which means she has successfully completed 330 hours of studying and testing in 16 different subject modules related to housekeeping management. She is also certified in "Stripping & Refinishing Tile Floors" and "Carpet Cleaning & Maintenance" through Hillside Maintenance & Supply and the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration Certification. At Cedarville, Kathy finds satisfaction in cleaning a restroom to the best of her ability.

Kate Titus, Coordinator

Kate also serves as the coordinator for indoor plants and flowers and the manager of Cedar Park married student apartments.
