Seasoned Staff Interview
Name: Faith Linn
Title: Director of Alumni Relations
- How many years have you worked at Cedarville University and what keeps you here? I've worked at Cedarville for 15 years and my love of high humidity summers and sub-zero winters keeps me here. Actually, that's only part of it. I'm also compelled to stay at CU because of the students. They make it all worthwhile.
- Are you a "night owl" or an "early bird"? I'm a chameleon. Whatever I need to be, I am. I can keep going as long as I need to at night, and, those who've traveled with me can tell you that I wake up ready for conversation.
- Who is the most famous person you have ever met...or whom do you most admire? My favorite actor is Mandy Patinkin. (I know, you've never heard of him.) He's probably best-known around Cedarville as the guy in "Princess Bride" who says "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father; prepare to die." Anyway, after his one-man show, I went backstage, met him, and had my picture taken with him. And said something stupid like "I'm your biggest fan..." UGH!
- What toppings do YOU put on a pizza? Ham and pineapple...all the way!
- What is your life's passion outside of work...or share how you fill your leisure time? I love to garden. I'm often seen watering my poor wilting flowers at the end of a hot, summers day before I even change out of my work clothes. Only God could take dirt, water, and seeds and make a beautiful flower.
- What is the farthest distance you've ever traveled? Where did you go? I travel a lot for work, but it's usually within the continental United States. However, the farthest I've ever traveled was to China. I've been there twice and still remember it vividly.
