New Student Orientation - January 4, 2010
Getting Started for Spring 2010 is January 4 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Stevens Student Center. For further details, please contact our Student Life Programs office. All new freshmen and transfers are required to attend this orientation day.
Monday, January 4
- 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Orientation Check-in & Housing Registration - SSC Upper Level Lobby
- Obtain your orientation packet
- Purchase textbooks and materials – University Bookstore
- Obtain your post office box and combination – Post Office
- Obtain your student ID card – Campus Safety office, Human Resource & Safety Center
- 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Financial Registration – Cashier’s Office- SSC 130
- Please visit the cashier’s office to pay in full or to set up a monthly payment plan. Late admits should be sure their financial aid and payment arrangements are complete by 4 p.m. today.
- 11 a.m. Calculus Readiness Exam - SSC 248
- The Calculus Readiness Exam is required of students planning to major in engineering,
computer science, math, or any bachelor of science program that includes calculus in its
course sequence.

- 12:30 p.m. Campus Tour (optional) - SSC Upper Level – Admissions
- 1:30 p.m. New Student Orientation (required) - SSC Upper Level – Theatre
- Learn about the services and programs available to students.
- 1:30 p.m. Parent Orientation (optional) - SSC 248
- Parents meet with a student life representative to discuss "Life Outside the Classroom."
- 2:30 p.m. Course Registration (required) - SSC Upper Level – Theatre
- Receive your registration packet and class schedule and meet with an advisor to ask
any course-related questions.

- 3:00–4:30 p.m. University Medical Services - SSC Upper Level – Lobby
- Submit health forms and receive student insurance information.
- 4:30–5:30 p.m. "Computing at the 'Ville"(required) - SSC 248
- Learn about Cedarville-specific software and computers, University expectations on computer use, and connecting your own computer to the campus network.
- 5:30–6:30 p.m. Dinner (first contract meal) - SSC Upper Level – Dining Hall
