Services - Laboratory Services
The UMS laboratory is certified by the Ohio Department of Health, Laboratory Certification Program (CLIA), and is open during regular hours. Most tests are sent out for processing, and test reports are printed directly at UMS by the next day for evaluation by the nurse and physician. Examples of laboratory testing available at University Medical Services include:
- testing for anemia
- mono
- strep throat
- urinary tract infections
- labwork ordered by your family physician, providing you have a prescription or order form
- confidential HIV testing
- any bloodwork or other laboratory testing ordered by a physician.
Note: A copy of your labwork may be obtained via intracampus mail upon request after completion of a written authorization form. You can either request that a form be sent to you by sending an email to univmed@cedarville.edu, pick up a form at University Medical Services, or download a PDF version of the form and send it back to us through intracampus mail (the free Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view the PDF version).
