Many of you Parent Prep subscribers are about to be parents of a new Cedarville University student! I have enjoyed sharing information and resources with you throughout this year. It will be exciting to meet you and your new student (along with 900 others!) when you arrive on campus for Getting Started in August.
Now for the handoff ...
The University communicates regularly with parents of current students providing helpful information about upcoming events, parent resources, and Cedarville news. You will receive your first ParentConnect email June 13.
If your student is attending another college or if you simply wish to unsubscribe from the ParentConnect monthly emails, you may do so at any time. Just visit the email subscription management site, enter your email address, and update your communication preferences.
On behalf of all of us on the Enrollment Management and Marketing team, welcome to the Cedarville University family!
Janice L. Supplee, Ph.D.
Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing
P.S. If you are the parent of a younger student, no action is needed! We'll continue to send you ParentPrep updates and resources that are relevant to your family's college selection process.

Every college and university is governed by a set of beliefs, regardless of whether they want you to know it or not. Beliefs dictate every facet of how institutions of higher education operate, from the faculty members they hire, to the academic programs they offer, to the campus environment. At Cedarville University, we don’t hide our beliefs. We want you to clearly see what we stand for – from the first postcard you receive in the mail to every day of your student’s experience on our campus. We want everyone to know that we exist “For the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ.” This purpose defines and directs every aspect of our University.
Our recently released spring/summer issue of Cedarville Magazine examines five core beliefs that Cedarville holds, defining what they are and showing how they are lived out in the lives of our students, alumni, and faculty. You’ll read how we believe in the absolute authority of God’s Word and how it shapes everything we do, both inside and outside of the classroom. You’ll learn how our belief in the exclusivity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ spurs us to share His good news both locally and around the world. You’ll see that we believe in God’s design for man and woman in marriage and how we intentionally help our students build God-honoring relationships. You’ll see how we believe in human life as fearfully and wonderfully made and how that belief informs and transforms even the most heartbreaking circumstances. And you’ll learn how we believe in the local church and train our students to be producers – not just consumers – within their church.
Read this issue online and discover what We Believe, and be assured that your student’s Cedarville education will be guided by these very beliefs.

If your high school student plans to take a College Now dual credit course from Cedarville University in either fall 2016 or spring 2017, make plans to attend the Orientation Day scheduled for August 8, 2016, at 8 a.m. While not mandatory, this orientation day will give high school students confidence as they begin their College Now experience and will help them succeed in the college-level classroom.
Read today's post for more information on what you can expect from this orientation and how to register your student.

You still have time to register for Cedarville University summer academic camps — a fun, engaging way for students to explore career options and prepare for their future. But time is running out to — some camps are already full and others are filling quickly!
At Cedarville’s summer academic camps, students can spend a week at Cedarville exploring a career field that interests them. They can choose from art and design, athletic training, business, criminal justice, engineering (FULL), foreign language, forensic science, geology, journalism, medicine, music, nursing (FULL), pharmacy, psychology, theatre, worship, or writing.
In a few short days, students accomplish much more than career exploration. Camp faculty will challenge them to make their career their calling. They will consider how their gifts, skills, and interests can make a difference in this world for Christ.
Encourage your student to attend one of these life-changing camps this summer! Register now before it’s too late!
