Important Deadlines for Ohio Private and Homeschool Students Applying for CCP Funding
March 23, 2016
Guest author Paula Kordic, Coordinator of College Now, shares some important deadlines for high school students who want to take College Now courses from Cedarville University using funding from the state of Ohio's College Credit Plus program.
Ohio high school students planning to apply for College Credit Plus (CCP) funding to be used in 2016-2017 must meet three important deadlines, which are fast approaching. Now that CCP funding may be used to pay for Cedarville College Now courses in the summer term, two of the three deadlines have been moved up.
- March 25 – Applications for admission to Cedarville’s College Now must be completed by this date to guarantee that your student will receive his or her acceptance letter in time to submit the funding application. A completed application means that your student’s online application is complete and the high school transcript, test scores, and church leader recommendation have all been received by Admissions.
- April 1 – Letters of Intent must be submitted to the Ohio Department of Education by this date. Letter of Intent forms are available online at Ohio Higher Ed under the heading “Forms.” Students must print the form to complete it. Instructions for how to submit the form are posted on the form.
- April 8 – Funding applications are due. Visit the Ohio Higher Education site for instructions on completing the application. Select the appropriate link for your student’s Letter of Intent to access the instructions for completing the funding application.
