New Year Off to a Great Start!
August 31, 2015
The 2015–16 academic is off to a great start! More than 900 freshmen and transfer students participated in Getting Started Weekend August 14-16, kicking off the academic year and their Cedarville experience. Cedarville’s total undergraduate enrollment is nearly 3,360 students, an all-time high.
As with every year, Cedarville started the semester with the Fall Bible Conference. This year we welcomed Clayton King, founder of Clayton King Ministries and teaching pastor at NewSpring Church in Anderson, South Carolina, as the conference speaker. King challenged our students to embrace weakness to find strength. Following the two evening sessions on August 18 and 19, more than 100 students came forward to make a commitment to follow Christ, and another 93 responded to a call to enter full-time ministry. (To read more about the life-changing impact of the Fall Bible Conference, see this recent press release.) God is already working in the lives of this year's students. Talk about a great way to start the year!
Giving students the opportunity to sit under the teaching of nationally recognized Bible speakers, as well as challenging them with highly regarded academic programs, sets Cedarville University apart! As you guide your student through the college search process, discuss the importance of Christ-centered higher education and how it can impact them. Visit us to see the difference a rigorous academic program delivered in an authentic Christian community can make!
