Happy Thanksgiving!

November 26, 2015

Thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity to say how much we appreciate you as a parent and your part in your student’s college decision process!

Research affirms that parents are the top influencers of a student's college decision. You help to shape the conversation about what is important. Thank you for making a Christian education -- one that presents a distinctly biblical worldview in every academic discipline -- a priority for your student.

From the Cedarville family to yours, may you experience the blessing of God's goodness and peace during this Thanksgiving season!

P.S. Do you know high school seniors who are considering attending Cedarville University next fall? Complete our referral form and encourage them to apply online. When a student you referred applies, we'll send you a free Cedarville T-shirt!

Cedarville Chapel, Apple TV, and Livestreaming from Home

November 18, 2015

chapelChapel has long been called the heartbeat of Cedarville University, where students, faculty, and staff gather each weekday for dynamic worship and powerful preaching. Chapel is just one way we help our students grow in their walk with God, and most students consider chapel a highlight of their Cedarville education!

If you really want to understand Cedarville culture and what makes us "tick," you need to experience chapel. And, now it's easier than ever!

You can enjoy chapel from your home through our new live chapel stream. Access our chapel live stream page each weekday at 10 a.m. to watch the day’s chapel service in real time. You can also watch archived services from this site.

And, we are excited to announce the new Cedarville University Chapel App, available now for the updated Apple TV®. With this free app, you can view chapel services through the live stream, watch archived chapel services, search for chapels by your favorite speakers and topics, and create a personalized list of chapels to watch at a later time. Visit our Cedarville Chapel App on Apple TV site for more information and to watch an introductory video.

However you choose to watch, we hope you'll enjoy getting a taste of what your student can expect as a Cedarville University student.

How Important Is a University's Doctrinal Statement?

November 4, 2015

Like your local church, Christian colleges all have a statement of beliefs. As you research and visit different institutions with your student, how important is it to consider each college's doctrinal statement?

Today's post shares two important questions you should ask every Christian university you are considering about their doctrinal statement and how it is applied in the classroom. You'll also find out what parents search most on Cedarville's website. (It surprised us, and it might surprise you, too!)

Finally, guest contributor, Dr. Jason Lee, Dean of the School of Biblical and Theological Studies at Cedarville University, also provides insight about the importance of Cedarville's Doctrinal Statement and how it informs our approach to Christ-centered higher education.

Read today's information-packed post now.
