February 2012

Dear Parent,

Last week the board of trustees approved the operating budget and tuition, room, and board rates for 2012-13. I am sharing this information with you as soon as possible to assist you in budgeting for next year.

Our commitment to you as a parent is to use resources in ways that increase the quality of your student’s academic experience. Renovations to facilities, scholarship increases, new academic programs and faculty, and most notably, completion of the Health Sciences Center by this summer, are just a few examples of how the 2012-13 cost increase will be used to benefit your student.

Overall, next year's costs will increase approximately 4.7 percent. Block tuition will go from $12,200 to $12,748 per semester. The new hourly rate (for fourth-year students who pay by the hour) will be $780. After remaining virtually unchanged for 10+ years, our room rate will increase by $114 per semester. You'll find the 2012-13 costs updated at cedarville.edu/costs.

Assuring that your student achieves their educational goals at Cedarville is a top priority for us. Strategic decision-making, careful financial management, and generous donors enable us to offer the high-quality education you have come to expect from Cedarville. Thank you for giving us the privilege of investing in your student's life here!

God bless.
