At Social Work Camp you will learn what social workers do and where they work foreign mission fields, hospitals, schools, mental health clinics, adoption agencies, child and family services, homeless shelters, etc. You will visit social service and mental health agencies to get a first-hand look at professionals on the job. You will learn about the Christian roots of social work and how to integrate your faith into social work practice. Campers will get to participate in a service activity in a professional setting. You will also enjoy boating on beautiful Lake Shawnee. Explore the world's largest airplane museum, follow the history of flight from the Wright Brothers to the moon, and see the Mercury and Apollo space capsules. You will be inspired and challenged by spending time with godly professors at their homes.
