Nelson Henning (Program Coordinator)
Dr. Henning serves as the Director of the Social Work Program. He has special interest in the fields of chemical dependency, grief work, and family issues. Dr. Henning has many diversified experiences in the field of social work including: rehabilitation and corrections work, child/spouse abuse work, mental health clinic work, Employee Assistance Program Director, and also the Director of a 28-day Chemical Dependency Program. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986 and has been at Cedarville since 1994.
Christine Fulmer
Professor Fulmer serves as an Assistant Professor of Social Work. She received her undergraduate degree at Baptist Bible College in Clark Summit, Pennsylvania and her Master�s in Social Work at Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to Cedarville, she served as Director of Domestic and International Adoption at a Christian social service agency. She also developed a therapeutic foster care program for an agency in the Philadelphia area. She comes to Cedarville with a background in child welfare, mental health and adoption. Professor Fulmer often speaks publicly and has served as a consultant on the topics of sexual abuse and attachment in relation to adoption. She has a special interest in group dynamics and program development as well.
George Huff
Professor Huff is an Associate Professor of Social Work, serving as the Field Director in the Social Work Program. He received his bachelor's degree in sociology from Ashland University where he minored in social work and political science. He earned his master's degree in science and social administration from Case Western Reserve University. Professor Huff worked in child welfare, such as foster, adoptive, and volunteer services, for more than 25 years. During that time he also worked after hours investigating child abuse and neglect cases. Before coming to Cedarville, he was responsible for two Ashland University programs: the Outreach Program, which provided college classes in prisons, and the Partnership Program, where he academically advised college students. An independent licensed social worker, Professor Huff has been an adjunct faculty member for both Ashland University and North Central State College.
