Harry VanderWal, Jr., a doctor of pediatrics and internal medicine, and Echo VanderWal, a Certified Physician's Assistant, both graduated with highest honors from Cedarville University and lived in Ohio 14 years.
Harry attended Wright State University School of Medicine. In 2006, Harry completed his residency training in internal medicine / pediatrics at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University Medical School in Dayton, Ohio. Harry received the Wright State University "Young Alumnus of the Year" award in 2008. Echo attended Kettering College of Medical Arts and graduated as a certified Physician Assistant in 2000. Echo initially practiced in surgery. After her triplet sons were born, she worked in pediatrics. The couple travel with their four sons - 8 year old triplets, Jacob, Luke, Zebadiah, and 5 year old Zion.
Harry and Echo have completed six medical mission trips to Swaziland, southern Africa, since 2004. Already they have been sought to model their mobile bush clinic ministry in other countries - Kenya, South Africa, Botswana, Madagascar, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. The VanderWals are thrilled to be living their dreams. Although Swaziland has the highest AIDS rate in the world, God's spirit is moving across that land, and we can all be a part of this great harvest.
