Cedarville Scholar Awards
Note: This information is valid for new students entering Cedarville in 2010โ11.
Timeline:
- Prior to January 15: Apply and obtain acceptance for admission to Cedarville
- January 15: Deadline for receipt of all Cedarville Scholar Award application documents (application and recommendation)
- Last week of January: Semifinalists notified of selection and interview weekend
- Late February: Semifinalists interviews
- March: CU Scholar Award recipients (finalists) selected and notified
Criteria:
This award competition is limited to new freshmen or transfers entering Fall 2010. To apply the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- 31+ ACT or 1360+ SAT (math + critical reading scores only)
- 3.75 high school GPA (unweighted 4.0 scale)
- Accepted for admission to Cedarville prior to January 15
- Exceptional recommendation
- Demonstrated leadership characteristics
Application:

- Complete entire Cedarville Scholar Award Application by January 15
- Submit the Cedarville Scholar Award recommendation form by January 15
Award:
- 75% of tuition (awarded to nine finalists each year)
- Full-time enrollment required (minimum 12 credit hours per semester at Cedarville)
- Limited to eight semesters of undergraduate study
- May not be combined with the National Scholar or Academic Excellence Awards
- May be combined with other grants and scholarships
Renewable:
Yes - As long as student maintains a Cedarville cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
