African-American: Hawkins Scholarship

Named in honor of Eddie Hawkins, a regionally known African-American religious leader, pastor of Good Shepherd Baptist Church of Cleveland, Ohio, and the first African-American member of the Cedarville University Board of Trustees, this renewable scholarship is awarded to African-American students with a minimum ACT of 30 (or an SAT of 1310, combined critical reading and math) and a minimum high school GPA (unweighted) of 3.0. This $3,000 will be added to the President's Scholarship, the National Scholar Award, and the Cedarville Scholar Award. Students must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 to renew the scholarship.
