American Cancer Society Ohio Division's Survivor Scholarship
Applications are now available for the American Cancer Society Ohio Division's Survivor Scholarship Program. This program is a scholarship opportunity exclusively for students with a history of cancer.
Established in 2000, the program is designed to provide young cancer patients or survivors assistance in pursuing higher education from an accredited school. As cancer survivors and role models, scholarship recipients may be invited to serve as American Cancer Society volunteers, to train as mentors for future scholarship recipients, and to represent the American Cancer Society on campus and in their communities.
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Resident of Ohio
- U.S. Citizen
- Diagnosed with cancer before age 21
- Under age 25 at the time of application
- Plan to attend an accredited university or community college in the United States.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, leadership, and community service.
