Dr. Merlin and Ruth Ager Education Award

This scholarship was established in 1999 by the department of education faculty to honor Dr. Merlin Ager '60, who served as faculy and chair of the department of education, and his wife, Ruth '61. The scholarship assists an outstanding full-time senior majoring in education who exemplifies the values of the department, including academic excellence, youth involvement, and Christian ministry. The recipient must also maintain a minimum GPA of 3.3 or above and have an effective ongoing ministry to young people during his or her tenure at Cedarville University. Preference will be given to those students planning to teach overseas. One scholarship recipients will be selected each year by the department faculty. The average scholarship award range is $700-$900. No application is necessary, but completion of FAFSA is recommended.
