Edward Shiraki Memorial Scholarship for Public Service
This annually funded scholarship was established in 2009 by Matthew Shiraki '06 to inspire students to enter the worthy cause of Public Service. Recipients must be junior or senior students, have at least one year remaining in their program, demonstrate financial need, must have a cumulative grade average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale, and must be actively involved in service on and/or off-campus and plan to enter civil/public service. Preference will be given to students pursuing a degree in History and Government. The Director of Financial Aid and Chair of the History and Government Department, in consultation with faculty of the Department of History and Government, will annually select the recipients. Candidates must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if interested in this scholarship.
