Irma M. Dodson Award

Established in 1982 by Irma M. Dodson in gratitude for the Lord's enablement in allowing 50 years of ministry in the field of education, this endowed one-time scholarship was created to assist full-time graduating senior Early Childhood Education or Middle Childhood education students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Recipients must demonstrate consistent and outstanding ability in daily preparation and teaching excellence during their classroom, field, and student teaching experiences. Recipients must also be involved in Christian service, dedicated to serving and honoring God, and have evidence of leadership qualities. The School of Education faculty select the recipients.
