Kimberly S. Ahlgrim Counseling Scholarship
Jennifer L. Castellani ‘02 established this scholarship in 2007 to honor the extraordinary woman and work of Kimberly S. Ahlgrim who ministered as a professional counselor for 15 years in the University’s Counseling Services. The scholarship is awarded to a senior psychology, applied psychology, or social work major who has demonstrated commitment to the field by definite plans to attend graduate school shortly after graduation to become a minimum of a Master’s level therapist. Recipients must also maintain a 3.5 GPA and have financial need. Preference is given to students who are engaged in a ministry related to the counseling field. Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if interested in this scholarship. Recipients are selected by the psychology and social work faculty in consultation with the Financial Aid Director. One scholarship of $1,500 is awarded per year.
