ROTC: Cedarville First-Year Scholarships

ROTC students who are awarded 3-year scholarships by the Air Force or Army

$1,230 (Air Force) / $2,460 (Army)

Cedarville University offers scholarships of $1,230 and $2,460 to incoming freshmen who are recipients of three-year Air Force and Army ROTC scholarships. (Recipients of four-year ROTC scholarships are ineligible for these scholarships.) These scholarships essentially cover the cost of tuition for the first year Air Force and Army ROTC courses at Cedarville.

To be eligible, students must:

  1. Apply for and receive a three-year ROTC scholarship; send a copy of the official award letter to the Cedarville University Financial Aid Office.
  2. Complete and submit the FAFSA, sending the results to Cedarville University.
  3. Upon receipt of this information, the Financial Aid Committee will determine the scholarship amount. Award decisions will begin on February 15 and may continue until the start of the fall semester.

What happens if I am called to duty?

Students who receive ROTC scholarships that are activated during their freshman year are eligible for this scholarship only for the terms when their ROTC scholarships are inactive.

Who funds this scholarship?

This particular scholarship is funded by Cedarville.

Can this scholarship be combined with other ROTC scholarships?

Students who apply for a three- year ROTC scholarship during their first year at Cedarville may be considered for this scholarship if funds are still available.

Recipients of a four-year ROTC scholarship are not eligible for the Cedarville University first year ROTC scholarship.

Receipt of the Cedarville University first year ROTC scholarship will not prevent eligible students from receiving other first-year scholarships at the University.
