Speedway and Marathon Petroleum Scholarship
Established in 2010, this annually funded scholarship to provide financial assistance to undergraduate or graduate students pursing degrees in disciplines utilized by the energy industry. Recipients must be pursuing a degree with the intent of working in the energy industry with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale and be eligible to work full time in the U.S. on an indefinite basis. In conjunction with the scholarship, each recipient may receive an offer of an internship for the following summer or another available break in University attendance. If none are eligible, candidates who meet all criteria with the exception of availability for an internship but has demonstrated financial need. Candidates interested in this scholarship should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The department chairs of engineering and computer science and science and math in consultation with the Director of Financial Aid select recipients.
