The Dorothy Hilma Leininger Nursing Scholarship Fund
Established in 1989 by Dr. Wayne E. Leininger, this endowed scholarship was created to honor his wife, Dorothy Hilma Leininger, in gratitude for her life and ministry and to assist a full-time rising sophomore, junior, or senior student preparing to enter the nursing profession as a career missionary. The recipient must have completed one year at the University, demonstrate well-rounded interests and involvements, an exemplary Christian testimony, active Christian service, Christian principles, and compassion and care for others and have demonstrated financial need. The School of Nursing dean and faculty select the recipients.
