All applicants identified as Transfer Students (see criteria below) are reviewed for the following Transfer Student Aid programs:

January 1st: Transfers beginning enrollment spring semester
Transfer students can also qualify for the National Scholar Award if they were a National Merit/National Achievement finalists or semifinalists (based on PSAT taken during high school) and their combined college cumulative GPA is 3.5 or higher.
Criteria:
When is an applicant considered to be a transfer student?
A new student is identified as a transfer when they have enrolled in 12 or more college credit hours post high school graduation.
How is a transfer student's combined college cumulative GPA calculated?
For the Transfer Academic Excellence Award, the accepted transfer student's combined college cumulative GPA must be 3.5 or higher. The calcualtion will be made using grades earned in any of the following:
- college courses taken through dual-enrollment as a high school student
- college courses taken after high school
- college courses in which the student is currently enrolled
- college courses in process of completion at the time the admission application is reviewed
Note: Students may take college courses while still in high school without becoming classified as a transfer. However, the grades earned in those college courses will be included in all college GPA calculations and used in admission and scholarship decisions.
