Recreation CenterThank you to Cedarville's friends for generous participation in the capital campaign to fund the $12.8 million Recreation Center. The campaign concluded on time and the project is nearing completion on budget. Hundreds of donors participated in this campaign including the board of trustees, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, churches, corporations, foundations, and other good friends who share our vision. A highlight of the campaign included a $600,000 challenge grant from the Kresge Foundation. Many friends gave or made commitments for future giving so that Cedarville would qualify for this grant and thereby conclude the campaign successfully. A complete statement regarding the campaign is available. The new health clinic (now named University medical services), fitness areas, classrooms, offices, and laboratories are in full use and are enthusiastically received by students and faculty. The intramural and recreation space is scheduled for completion soon. The Recreation Center is a wonderful addition to Cedarville's campus. Over $100 million of new construction and building retrofits in recent years give Cedarville one of the most modern, high-tech campuses among independent universities in the nation.
