So i have run into a lot of homeschoolers on this forum! That's great!!! The more the better. So please post and tell us about yourself, even if you have posted in other threads. It gets so confusing, expecially with all the Emilys So I'm one of the Emily Grace's coming in the fall. I've been homeschooled K-12. I live in morrow, Ohio about an hour away from CU. I plan to major in English and minor in history. I'm the oldest of seven. I can't think of anything else right now, so i'll wait for the rest of you to post! Emily

Yep my sister and I have been homeschooled since we were in fourth grade, except for our 10th grade year when we went to a private Christian school. I love it, especially the sleeping in part. I would recomend it to any body whose parents have the time to teach them. Some of my friends would like to be homeschooled but their parent can't. Sad day for them.
Anyway because we have been homeschooled, both Jer and I are graduating this year from highschool and then the next day with our Associates degree from the local community college.

Juli said it all pretty much. Since my sister is posting on here as well I may just agree with her cuz I don't want to get repetitive.

Hi!!!!  I have been homeschooled all the way (K-12) and have loved it. Its pretty cool to see that there are more homeschoolers planning to go to Cedarville.  I am not too sure what I want to major in, but I am considering something in the Biblical department of study.  I live in Southern California where there is this "issue" regarding the legality of homeschooling.  I know I am graduating in a couple months, but we should keep all of the other homeschoolers here in prayer.  Anyway, I am really looking forward to meeting all of you this Fall.  Hope you have a great last semester!!

Hey guys
I'm homeschooled toooo. Since 2nd Grade, and I absolutely love it. I'm from Pennsylvania, south of Pittsburgh, and I'm going to be in the Nursing program at CU! It hard to believe how many homeschoolers are going to Cedarville! I think that's cool though, since we all know we're "normal". haha.

So, quick question. Have any of you gotten any looks of surprise when you've told a stranger that you're homeschooled, but going to college? I've had an insane amount of people act completely shocked when I told them I was going to go to college. haha. I know everybody gets the normal,  "Your homeschooled? Do you like.. leave your house?" questions. But I thought that this was particularly funny.

... I hope somebody knows what I'm talking about, otherwise I'm going to sound absolutely crazy. haha.

Oh, and my name is Hannah by the way.
Nice to meet you all

Homeschoolers unite!!!

Well, I'm Marissa, and I've been homeschooled my whole life. I'm from VA, about an hour south of DC (so I think Ohio traffic is amazing lol). I'm the oldest of four...I'm 17, I have two sisters (15 and 9) and one brother (12). I play both flute and piccolo, and play both in an orchestra, and I love it! I'm also really involved in Awana at my church, and I'm going to be looking for a local club as soon as I get to CU. Ummmm....(trying to think what else lol)...I went on a mission trip to Brasil last summer, and I'm going to South Korea this summer, getting back two weeks before school. I took two community college classes last semester, and it was pretty incredible for people to find out that not only was I a highschooler, but homeschooled at that! lol. And yes, I've been getting really mixed up with all the different people on here too! Oh well...

And I'm really excited that there will be so many homeschoolers at Cedarville!

I'm planning on majoring in Christian Education (concentration in Children's Ministry), and minoring in Missions and Music. I'm not sure how I'll fit it all in...but I really want to if it's at all humanely possible! And I want to play in the orchestra

Nice to meet y'all!!

Hi all you homeschoolers!

I have been homeschooled all my life except for preschool and kindergarten. I think all Christians should homeschool, of course with the exception those with particular circumstances. (I believe that most parents could homeschool their kids, but they obviously choose not to do so.) I have always gotten positive remarks when I say that I am homeschooled, but maybe that is a Western thing (I live in eastern Washington.)

I think homeschooling is the best; we homeschoolers are smarter.

LOL!  Yeah, I would encourage everyone to at least look into. But God has a diiferent plan for all of us.  I have done homeschooling all my life and am SO, So, So glad for it, but I realize not all parents (and kids) are called to do it.

I don't get weird looks when I tell people I am homeschooled, but there are a lot of families around where we live that homeschool, so I think people are used to the idea. Though people automatically think I am anti-social or some such nonsense when I tell them I am homeschooled. My thinking is that since we don't have a set time that we have to be at school we can be flexible and actually have more time for social events. Around here we have a homeschooling group that does activities together. And most of the kids at our church are homeschooled and at our youth group. You might well duh, but our church doesn't have a youth group so we attend one at a different church. We also are invovled with Awana at that church and the homeschooled kids in the youth group are the ones who help out there. And like Marissa I want to find a church that does Awana so I can continue helping.
About homeschoolers being smarter I would definitely have to agree, (what homeschooler wouldn't) but around here it is evident.

YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another Awana nerd!!! lol. I want to find a club as soon as I can...but I also want it to be the one at whatever church I go to if possible, and since I'm guessing it'll take a little while to find one, the first bit of the year will be kinda weird! lol.

Hey! I've also been homeschooled since K :-D And yeah I get weird looks sometimes when I tell people I'm homeschooled, probably cause they're aren't like any homeschoolers in my church lol. But anyway, I'm so excited for this fall!! Especially if there are alot of other homeschoolers coming O yeah my name's Jaida, I live near Pittsburgh, PA. So I'm going to miss the hills - I can't really call them mountains cause their more like constant hills and windy roads lol - but I'll definitely have to get used to flatness and the wind lol. Random question - what's your favorite part about being homeschooled?? Jaida

My favorite part is sleeping in!
When we went to a private school we had to get up at 5:30 since it was an hour and a half away
I think I have been scarred for life and love sleeping in.

I've been homeschooled my whole life too. I did go to a Christian school for Kindergarten, but I don't think that counts. Though I am homeschooled I run track at the local high school which is a ton of fun! They all think it is cool I am homeschooled and most of them don't even realize I am until I tell them. Can't wait to meet all you other homeschoolers when I get to Cedarville!

Hey! My name is Jared and I've been homeschooled since my freshman year. I like being homeschooled (it's all right), but I much prefer a structured school. Homeschool just fits my life better (being a Mk and all). Anywho, just wanted to say Hi! and I'll see you all in the Fall.
