A week from today I will be at Cedarville for the leadership conference...and I know NO ONE! So please introduce yourself - I just discovered this forum and I wish I had known about it before.
And yes, I will most likely be attending Cedarville starting in the fall of 2011 (I've already been accepted), so any other prospective students - I would love to talk to you too! I will be pre-med but I'm not 100% committed to any specific major right now. I've also applied to the Honors Program. I am a Florida girl so I am really not into the 25-degree, snow thing. Someone is going to have to teach me how to dress and drive in freezing weather! While I'm at it, I might as well ask...are any of you SEC football fans? Because I am a huge Georgia Bulldog fan and it's going to be painful moving from SEC country to the Big Ten! Oh, and my name is Rachel. Hi! I'm not going to the Leadership conference, but I did think I would introduce myself.
I'm Hannah and I live in Texas! So I'm from the south too! As for dressing - I'd suggest finding some good snowboots online. Going to class in the snow - those will be a definite must. Otherwise, layers, layers, layers. I lived in Nebraska for 10 years and the weather is fairly similar. And I'm not a college football fan really. I'm a Packers fan! ------------------------- Nursing Major Hopefully an Honors Student Class of 2015 "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14 |

Rachel!
I'm going to the leadership conference also!! I'm nervous just because I don't know anyone going other than one of my friends who's coming out with me. I hope we get the chance to meet while we are out there! P.s. My names Alicia lol |

@Hannah: Hi! Thanks for introducing yourself...but the Packers?? Really?? Hahaha...you killed my Falcons on Saturday! I don't watch NFL nearly as much as college, but I do keep up with the Falcons and the Jags. I wish you were going to be at the conference so we can meet! I don't know how I'm going to survive this weekend - I literally have one light jacket that I wear all the time here in FL. Maybe I will bring my snuggie and wear that around campus!
@Alicia: YES!! I'm so excited I found someone! Do you know how many people will be at the conference? I have no idea what to expect. When will you be arriving and when will you be leaving? I fly in Thurs. evening and don't leave until Sunday afternoon. Do you live in Ohio? ------------------------- Major: Undecided (Pre-med) Minor: Bible and Missions "A day without laughter is a day without sunshine!" - A Dole's juice box |

Rachel, sorry about killing your Falcons.
You could probably layer up like two shirts underneath your jacket. Do you have any long sleeve shirts? You could wear one long sleeve under a short sleeve shirt or something. Otherwise, you might be able to borrow a jacket from whoever you are staying with. Good luck with the cold! ------------------------- Nursing Major Hopefully an Honors Student Class of 2015 "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14 |

My suggestion would be to go pick up a sweater or two.... I live in Maine, so I definately know how cold it is going to be! Don't let your first experience with the cold bring you down lol I promise there are a lot of good things about it, like making snowman and snow ball fights
